Homeschool Devotional just 5 minutes a day!
Recently a friend of mine contacted me to let me know that she had penned some short, encouraging words for Homeschool Moms. I was thrilled to hear that someone had taken time to be an encourager in this way. Homeschool moms definitely need encouragement. There are many of us who have been where you are and have walked the path successfully.
During my 20 year homeschool journey, there were times when I felt:
- Lonely
- Weary
- Exhausted
- Tearful
- Challenged
- Overwhelmed
- Defeated
- and more
These are all normal feelings. Along with those feelings came feelings of:
- Pleasure
- Pride
- Love
- Endurance
- Humility
- Faith
- Joy
- Happiness
- Accomplishment
- Excitement
- and more
The days I had negative or discouraging feelings were the days I pleaded with the Lord to minister to my heart. Sometimes, I would contact my mentor for some much needed words of encouragement. I never wanted to quit, but I always needed encouragement. There are a lot of encouraging devotionals out there, but this one is specifically from a homeschool Mom’s heart. This devotional is such an encouragement. She shares from her heart and from the Bible.
“Life as a homeschooling mom can be hectic and all-consuming. Begin or end your day with 5 minutes of spiritual food for thought from another mom on this journey who’s “been there and done that” for many years.”
Moms, we need to remember to seek that encouragement when we are down in the dumps so that we too can be an encourager when another homeschool mom is in need.
